We use a variety of techniques to achieve greater results in a shorter period of time. We also tailor our treatment to suit you as we understand every person responds differently.
This is the most commonly used method to adjust the spine. Following an assessment of spinal biomechanics, a gentle thrust is applied to the spine with specific direction, angle and speed. Sometimes a "popping" or "clicking" sound may be heard following the adjustment as a result of gas releasing from the joints. The adjustment aims to improve range of motion, reduce muscle tension and correct interference to the nervous system.
This form of adjusting is more gentle and involves the use of an Activator instrument. It provides a specific thrust at a high speed. Activator Methods may be used on patients that can't be adjusted due to medical reasons or who prefer a more gentle form of adjustment.
Applied Kinesiology (AK)
One of the main techniques we use is Applied Kinesiology. Applied Kinesiology uses muscle testing procedures to assess the physical, chemical and emotional components of your health. This allows us to gain a greater understanding of how your body is functioning and determine the actual cause of your problem, so that we may be more precise with our treatment. For example, every muscle relates to a particular organ. The pectoral muscle in the chest relates to the liver. If your liver isn’t functioning correctly, your pectoral muscle may tighten up and pull your shoulder forward. This may lead to shoulder pain, neck pain and/or headaches. Treatment may involve structural corrections, myofascial therapy, cranial therapy, meridian therapy, organ corrections, nutritional supplementation, dietary advice and emotional corrections.
